My music teacher basically ran the entire music department in our school and was the only teacher in it because of lack of funding in the music department. He usually worked 12+ hours a day and started having these mini-episodes in class. He started making jokes in class where this one time when he was renovating the house with his family his uncle screamed "I NEED BLACK CAULK". I was in a music theory class of his at the time and one of the classes he took two of us (the whole class minus one person) out into the woods and told us a story about how a guy he went to NYU with made a play called 'Cunt Kicker' to piss off all of the feminists there. He ended up getting fired for snapping at the principal. Last I heard he was writing a musical about Sarah Palin to do off-broadway. He even played us a song he wrote for it! 'Cunt Kicker' never got a second iteration though. This one time he just walked into one of our other classes and kicked over the Recycling bin and said "sorry, Mr. Harris". Needless to say Mr. Harris wasn't in that class.

the most underappreciated record in that top 20 imho is Richard Hawley's Coles Corner. Some of the smoothest shit I've ever heard but without being tacky. The guy has a voice that was made to sing Christmas carols and he knows exactly how to use it to full effect.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leaving_Certificate_%28Ireland%29 Also, almost all of my grades in college were dictated by exams at the end of the year. Every year from age eighteen to twenty-two there would be a big drama/panic in June that my mother would have to endure. I was throwing up from a possibly stress-induced headache the night before my first Leaving Certificate exam.

Grandaddy - The Sophtware Slump: 8.5/10 Finally heard this and liked it a lot, a subtle and good-natured pop album with plenty of sonic idiosyncrasies. Excited to listen to it again because I could see myself appreciating it more over time.
