so great I miss the ocean

Just learned of an urban forest/community garden <20min walk away that I didn't know about now i can't wait to go explore! Those types of places are my favorite

went to the iroquois national wildlife refuge on saturday, a huge reserve about halfway between buffalo and rochester. met up there with a friend who lives in buffalo that I don't see often enough and we wandered around for a couple hours, looking at a map after we got back to the car I realized we like, barely saw even a corner of the whole thing even though it felt like we covered a good amount of ground. according to google the whole place is nearly 17 square miles?

Booking campsites tends to be pretty easy. Only times that I've had trouble are after labor day when a lot of the state campgrounds are closed or when it has been a spur of the moment kind of thing and I've wanted to be on the water.

Memorial day weekend might be slightly harder to find a site because everyone goes that weekend, but if you are staying in a tent site, you should be fine.

kinda shooting for a cabin tbh, I've slept on the ground enough times in my life that I don't feel any particular need to continue proving that I'm able to and I don't think any of us own a tent, this forest is fuckin' gigantic though so I'd be shocked if literally every cabin in every campsite in the whole place got booked up
