Sure. Marsh has always looked good on the eye but has not had enough chances to build a solid record. A few years back he played 2-3 tests with a crook back and got a series of low scores.. It was a tad unfair really. This is like his third or forth little stint at test level now. Hope he finally blossums with runs and has an injury free time of it. His two tons he has gotten are up there with the best any Aussie player has given in the last 5-6 years. Burns? Idk, early days.. But he looks good to watch and plays the ball nice and late, good for england! Still trying to wrap my head around this smith form..basically, he is the player now every cricket fan though s.marsh would turn out to be. He looked so mediocre 2010/11..

agree

twatto out for good!

if s.marsh continues to make runs against w.i and eng *fingers crossed* there is no reason why he could not be pushed to opener with warner after bucky retires.. smith at 3! its the perfect time

could be like langer and katitch doing their best work at the top in their 30's.

would make more sense that pushing someone with no test experience at all to open. only warner and slater have been able to do that.

He hasn't looked like that in a long, long time.

Also, when he did look like a rugby front rower he'd break down all the time with soft tissue injuries as his frame couldn't handle the muscle mass and stress on his body of actually playing cricket not working out in the gym.

He's a prick tease of a cricketer. Promises so much delivers so little.

In this current series Smith has scored as many hundreds as Twatto has in his entire career.

for mine, max klinger is his logical replacement at the top of the order. like bucky he can either be stoic or score quickly. he's made runs all around australia (calling the g, the adelaide oval and the waca home) and made a swelter of em in the uk too in county cricket.

really, he should've been playing for australia a few years back. he's only 30 or so, so he could have 6-7 years of really top class cricket left in him.

australia have some serious transitioning to do. harris, rogers, clarke, haddin and watson will all soon be gone, and mitchell johnson seems a shadow of his former self. batting wise you should be fine with warner and smith around, although the big destructive tail end scores from MJ and rhino will be missed. the bowling attack looks a bit suspect. starc, hazelwood, lyon, pattison? with agar possibly as an all rounder to replace watto

Sort of.

Our three speedsters should be:

Cummins

Pattinson

Hazelwood

Haddin will be replaced by one of Wade (as many 100s as Twatto in 40 less Tests) or Whiteman, with Ludeman an outside chance, albeit a better keeper not as good a batsman.

Rogers out for Klinger with Maddinson the future opener, Burns for Clarke, and M Marsh for Twatto.

Solid 11 here:

Warner

Klinger

S Marsh

Smith

Burns

M Marsh

Wade

Pattinson

Lyon

Hazelwood

Cummins

12th: Starc

That's the future.

not bad. smith at 3 though

Wouldn't mind seeing Faulkner get a go

yes. stays on the park longer than m.marsh

not fancy but just gets the job done!

Also, Mitch is fine. Didn't have the greatest series but he's not too old and it's only last year he was ripping through everyone.

fatigue. played so much cricket over the past few years.

long spells on these boring australian roads does not help either

Well the wild cards are teams like Pakistan or India who often humble us elsewhere, but on our own turf they may well be completely useless.

I don't think Lyon is seen as the containing spinner for ODIs but I'm not sure why. He'd do as good a job. I reckon get Brad Hogg back in there. Even at 40 odd he still kills it in the Big Bash.

south africa - new zealand final?

i really fancy the kiwis to take the whole thing out.

australia basically don't play a spinner in odi's these days. it's all mediums like that useless sack of shit twatto, mitch marsh, faulkner et al.

surely they will jettison twatto for cap'n clarke.

twatto:
