Wait how do I have the highest rating for ham when I only like it if it's deli sliced? I know that makes no sense but for some reason thick slices just don't move me.

We get the ham steaks and pan fry them once a month or so. I'm about to eat some of that leftover from New Year's Day for lunch.

My wife usually gets a Honeybaked Ham gift card from work for Christmas. I think she got one again this year, but we haven't used it yet. That stuff is :chefskiss:

never been too crazy about ham but it's ok and good in certain specific situations

don't like it as lunchmeat or for a holiday, always either too salty or sweet. good on hawaiian pizza or in like chicken cordon bleu

I've also found myself disliking turkey more and more the years as well. I think I had like a tiny little piece this past thanksgiving. I did eat like a whole pot of mashed potatoes though.

The brown sugar cinnamon pop tart is the only one I can think of that might be remotely good buttered. Even that's a stretch.

Ham can vary quite a lot. I love prosciutto and deli quality ham can be quite good. But cheap ham can be very bad. Good highs but very low lows. Can be anywhere from a 3 to an 8 or so.

I was recently in the 'bacon is bad' camp until a couple of years ago. I think I just had really shitty rubbery bacon and that soured me on it.

When the bacon is good....it's good.
