i enjoy all sorts of things, but eating isn't really one of them. I don't mind going out to eat for a nice dinner or something but that can get expensive. if anything the low cost of a normal soylent regimen would enable me to go out to eat more often without as much economic guilt

yeah 1.5

now that i'm mixing it properly it really doesn't have much of a flavor, maybe a slight vanilla? I've been mixing it with my coffee and it's pretty consumable that way.

Soylent Coffeeist - if you were on the fence about Soylent before...this shit is worth checking out. 150mg of caffeine - deep coffee flavor & not sweet at all.  Highly recommend it

Bought 24 bottles for a little over $50. Less than $3 for a meal.. pretty good

Controversial but...why not eat proper food instead?

I was 'arguing' that drinking almost a pint's worth of coffee mixed into a liquid meal would plobably give you the shits.

Spoiler alert: it doesnt

It's an element with position: fixed.

Here it is in the HTML:

<nav class="js_global-nav-wrap js_top-nav global-nav shown fixed" style="box-sizing: inherit; position: fixed; top: -60px; width: 320px; z-index: 98; left: 0px; font-family: ProximaNovaCond; height: 60px; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.992157); border-bottom-width: 1px; border-bottom-style: solid; border-bottom-color: rgb(234, 234, 234); margin-bottom: 0px; line-height: 60px; -webkit-transition: -webkit-transform 150ms linear; transition: -webkit-transform 150ms linear; -webkit-transform: translate3d(0px, 100%, 0px); background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;"><div class="global-nav__center row" style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px auto; padding: 0px; max-width: 63rem; width: 320px; height: 59px; overflow: hidden;"><div class="logo-wrapper large-6 columns large-offset-4" style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 98px 0px 56px; width: 320px; float: left; position: relative; height: 59px; line-height: 62px;"><a class="logo" title="Valleywag" data-ga="[Kinja Menu, Logo/Blog Title Click, js_pageType]" style="box-sizing: inherit; color: rgb(51, 51, 51); line-height: inherit; text-decoration: none; display: inline-block; font-size: 1.5rem; overflow: hidden; text-overflow: ellipsis; white-space: nowrap; max-width: 100%; font-weight: bold;" rel="external nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="http://valleywag.gawker.com/" target="_blank"><img alt="mw50xyjlaunheel3tqmy.png" style="box-sizing: inherit; display: inline-block; vertical-align: middle; max-height: 32px" src="https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--K96utrOt--/c_fit,fl_progressive,q_80,w_600/mw50xyjlaunheel3tqmy.png" class="ipsImage_thumbnailed"></a><div class="follow-controls follow-controls--header js_follow-controls js_follow-blog-controls" data-blogid="474833009" style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; display: inline-block; opacity: 0; vertical-align: top; line-height: 64px; transition: opacity 0.2s ease-in; -webkit-transition: opacity 0.2s ease-in;"><a class="js_followblogforuser follow-controls__link" title="Follow Valleywag" data-ga="[Kinja Menu, Follow Link Click, js_pageType]" style="box-sizing: inherit; color: rgb(0, 147, 236); line-height: inherit; text-decoration: none; font-size: 0.875rem; position: relative;" rel="external nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="http://valleywag.gawker.com/soylent-upgrades-its-slurry-formula-to-make-techies-far-1642275755?utm_campaign=socialflow_gawker_facebook&amp;utm_source=gawker_facebook&amp;utm_medium=socialflow#" target="_blank">Follow</a></div></div></div><div class="js_global-user scrollable-container noskimlinks noskimwords" style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; width: 320px; overflow: hidden;">&nbsp;</div></nav>

It's coming from Ocean quoting Psycho's post from the previous page on this page.

I will investigate.

Can't be repeated.

I think it was a bug with that particular version of the board software when Ocean quoted Psycho. Some links result in rich embeds (like when you link to a Tweet), perhaps there was a specific one for Gawker articles, and the bug resulted in the embed code including the fixed nav header of the gawker page in question.

If Ocean edits that post, deletes the contents, then re-quores psycho it should be fixed. :)
